Current programs and activities:

Our organization’s free services of 30 years have a tremendous positive impact on our community both locally and abroad. Career counseling for youth, food bank services for poor neighbors, settlement services for refugee families and engagement services for local seniors from low income, racialized and immigrant community.

SRNNA team consistently produce publications, classes, symposiums and other educational empowerment events and use of educational and institutional material, publications, and media of all kinds in pursuit of the stated aims of the Corporation, including advancing the public’s knowledge and appreciation of the art, history and the language of Somalia.

Global Programs

Global Programs:

SRNNA newly formed an orphan boarding school in Somalia where the orphans need everything of livelihood from food to education, from health to homes, from training to safety and more. SRNNA is exclusively responsible to the wellbeing of these orphans and their upright upbringings.

Local Programs

Local programs:

Food Distribution Services: SRNNA provides are food distribution,

Settlement Services for Refugees/immigrants: Helping them acquire medical care services, documentation support, legal support, housing support and assimilation support.

Integration support for Newcomers: Comprehensive aid, guidance, coaching and integration services for newcomers by smoothing many of their cultural shocks by helping them assimilate into Canadian culture while maintaining their own cultural identity as well.

Youth programs: For at-risk youth, racially discriminated, immigrant and Somali youth, SRNAA provides counselling to support and connect disputed families.

SRNNA Elders: Elder support program for elders from Somali, black, immigrant seniors.
